Medium and heavy-duty Cummins custom tuning via EFILive, backed by Ryan Milliken. Model years 2001 and newer are supported across a wide range of applications including Class 8 trucks, RVs, dump trucks, marine equipment, and more. Better performance, improved drivability, and emissions-compliant calibrations built around your specific engine and application.

These engines are often overbuilt and turned way down by manufacturers to meet application-specific requirements — leaving lackluster performance, slow pedal response, and barely enough power to manage a load. We simply allow the engine to run up to its full rated potential while adding increased pedal response, increased available engine speed, and increased highway speed limiters where applicable. Think of it like removing the restrictor plate and letting the engine run the way Cummins actually built it to.

Real customer results:

2018 Cummins 8.9L L9/ISL — Dynamax Force HD Super C RV: Before — 360HP / 1150TQ (factory-limited well below its 300–450HP and 860–1250TQ rated range). After — approximately 415HP / 1225TQ with improved pedal response and increased highway speed limiter.

2019 Cummins 6.7L B6.7 — Forza 36H Pusher Style RV: Before — 340HP / 700TQ (well below its 200–360HP and 520–800TQ range). After — approximately 410HP / 850TQ, 15% faster 0–60, +20% power gain of +60HP / +150TQ, and increased highway speed limiter.

2021 Cummins 8.9L L9/ISL — Super C RV: Before — 360HP / 1150TQ (same factory restrictions across the 300–450HP, 860–1250TQ window). After — 450HP / 1250TQ per customer request, calibrated for occasional towing at maximum output.

The short answer to "can we tune it?" is yes. Applications supported include CM8XX units from 2001–2010 (read/write capable, no data logging or DTC support) and all CM2XXX units from 2007 to current (full capabilities including data logging and DTC read/clear). Supported ECM types include CM871, CM876, CM2150, CM2220, CM2250, CM2350A, CM2450A, CM2670, and CM2880.

Hardware required: EFILive V3 FlashScan or AutoCal, Cummins HD License, 9-pin HD to OBD adapter (green for 2016+, black for 2001–2015), and a laptop with USB port. Processing time is 5–10 business days.

Performance Tuning

Why Get HD Tuning?

These engines are often over built and turned way down for their specific application's to meet the manufacturers requests, leaving lackluster experience behind the wheel and slow pedal response — barely enough power to get out of its own way, let alone if a trailer is involved.

We simply allow the engine to run up to its full potential while adding increased pedal response, increased available engine speed, and increased highway speed limiters (if applicable). Think of it like taking the restrictor plate out and allowing the engine to run how it should have from the factory.

Application Support

Can We Tune It?

There are a multitude of applications that Cummins has put out since 2001. The short answer is "YES, we can tune that!" — there are however some stipulations and key differences between them, mostly revolving around EFILive's capabilities with each control module.

The older CM8XX units (typically 2001–2010) lack the ability to data log or read/clear DTCs, but we can still read/write tune them. All newer CM2XXX units (2007–Current) have full capabilities. Visit the EFILive website to check your specific application, or feel free to reach out.
