ADU5 Advanced Display Unit with Logging

The ECUMaster ADU5 Rev.2 is a fully featured 5-inch motorsport dash display with data logging — designed for competitive drivers and race engineers who demand a cost-effective, fully customizable, feature-rich solution without compromising on quality or capability.

The ADU5 features a 5-inch antiglare TFT display at 800x480 resolution with a 108x64.8mm active area and 600 cd/m² luminance — delivering perfect visibility in any lighting condition from direct sunlight to night racing. The rugged enclosure is CNC machined black anodized aluminum rated to IP65, built to survive the harshest racing environments.

Comes with multiple pre-configured pages fully customizable by the end user for every race stage — practice, qualification, race, and troubleshooting. Up to 48 available pages with user-defined content, custom graphics, math channels, logical functions, and overlays. Pages can be changed manually or automatically based on defined conditions.

15 ultra-bright RGB LEDs serve as an advanced gear-dependent shift light fully configurable by user-defined logic for alarms, low fuel warnings, and any other condition you define. Using IR beacons or GPS, the ADU5 becomes a powerful lap timer with predictive timing and a Qualification Mode that uses advanced predictive lap timing based on an automatically updated best reference lap.

Data logging to USB flash drive at up to 500Hz per channel with real-time clock included. Two independent CAN 2.0B ports at 250, 500, and 1000 kbps with CAN templates provided for most popular ECUs — fully configurable to connect to virtually any engine management system. Also features RS232 serial communication, 8 analog inputs at 10-bit 500Hz with software-selectable pullups and pulldowns, 8 digital inputs, 2 protected 3A low-side outputs, 3-axis gyro and 3-axis accelerometer, built-in light sensor for auto brightness, built-in temperature sensor, and real-time clock with battery backup.

Operating voltage: 6–22V with reverse polarity protection and transient immunity per ISO 7637. CPU: 32-bit 90MIPS. Temperature range: -30°C to 80°C. 36-way AMP connector.

Supported ECUs include ECUMaster EMU CLASSIC, EMU BLACK, and PMU, AEM, Autronic SM-4, DTA Fast S Series, Emtron, EVO X, Hondata KPro, Life Racing, LINK ECU, MaxxECU, Megasquirt 2 and 3, MoTeC M400/M600/M800 and M1, Pectel SQ-6, Syvecs, VI-PEC, OBD2 over CAN, and any ECU capable of sending data over CAN bus. Available in two variants — select at checkout: With USB to CAN (ECUUSBCAN) — Full package including the USB to CAN adapter required for dash programming. Without USB to CAN — ADU5 only. Choose this if you already own a compatible USB to CAN interface.

Free firmware upgrades available to further improve system capabilities including new strategies, trigger patterns, and CAN data streams.
