Hardway 10 Bar Cummins MAP Sensor
Billet aluminum construction, anodized gloss black, and ready to install in place of your stock MAP sensor — except this one houses a RIFE 10BAR MAP transducer and a RIFE IAT thermistor. Built for competition and high-boost applications where precision inlet pressure and temperature measurement aren't optional.

What's Inside
Built to Perform
Durable Billet Aluminum
Machined from high-quality billet aluminum, this sensor survives real-world abuse — heat, vibration, pressure, and sustained high-boost conditions. Corrosion-resistant, install it once and trust it.
Sleek Anodized Finish
Deep gloss black anodize — not just for looks. The coating adds an extra layer of corrosion and wear resistance while delivering a clean, OEM+ aesthetic that pairs with any serious build.
Direct Plug-In Fit
A direct replacement for the factory MAP sensor — no wiring changes, no adapters, no custom fabrication. If you can remove the stock sensor, you can install this one.
RIFE 10BAR Transducer
At the core: a high-performance 10BAR MAP transducer delivering accurate, repeatable pressure readings across a wide operating range. The resolution and stability your tuner needs when pushing real power.
Integrated IAT Thermistor
An integrated IAT thermistor delivers fast, accurate manifold temperature readings directly at the source. Smarter fueling, timing, and boost control — especially critical in high-power or variable-load scenarios.
Free Calibration Update
Custom tuning is required after installation. Existing Hardway Performance customers receive their calibration rewrite at no additional cost — the re-tune fee is waived with purchase of this sensor.
Do I Need It?
When the Stock Sensor
Isn't Enough
The factory MAP sensor works well on stock or lightly modified trucks — but it has a ceiling. Once boost levels, airflow, or overall performance demands push past what the stock sensor can accurately measure, the data becomes compressed and unreliable. That's where the 10BAR comes in.
A 10BAR MAP sensor reads much higher boost pressures than the factory sensor, giving your tuner clean, precise data across the entire operating range — critical for proper fueling, timing, and boost control when pushing real power.
Not sure if you need one? We're happy to help determine if it makes sense for your setup.
Consider upgrading if you’re…
- Running higher-than-stock boost levels
- Running compound turbos or an aggressive single turbo setup
- Noticing your current MAP sensor pegging or maxing out
- Looking for accurate data logging and consistent tuning at high power
- Building toward future power upgrades and want headroom now
Already Tuned by Hardway? Your Update is Free.
Yes — installing this sensor requires a calibration update to account for the new pressure and temperature ranges. But if your truck is already tuned by Hardway Performance, we'll rewrite your file to properly support the 10BAR MAP sensor at no additional cost. The calibration rewrite fee is waived with purchase of this sensor.
Installation
Direct Replacement. Simple Install.
No wiring changes. No adapters. This is a plug-in replacement for the stock MAP sensor — remove the old one, install this one, and you're done. One tool required.
Sensor Location by Engine
The MAP sensor is located in the intake plenum, right next to the fuel rail, on the driver side of the engine bay.
The MAP sensor is located on the backside of the intake horn.
