    The ARP Diesel Custom Age 625+ Head Stud Kit 230-4202 is the ultimate head stud kit for high horsepower 2001-2015 GM 6.6L Duramax engines. ARP has provided an extra measure of security in the form of extra-strong head studs manufactured from the firm's proprietary Custom Age 625+� material that has a minimum rating of 260,000 psi tensile strength. They are engineered to provide the clamping force required to keep cylinder heads from lifting due to exceptionally high combustion pressures and horsepower levels.
    The studs are manufactured in ARPs Santa Paula, CA plant, with threads rolled after heat-treating to provide optimum fatigue strength. They are centerless ground to assure perfect concentricity. The ends of the studs are broached to acilitate easy installation. This feature also enables the cylinder head to be removed in tight quarters. Fits LB7, LLY, LBZ, LMM, LML engines.

    The ARP Diesel Head Stud Kit 230-4201 is a must have in any high performance 2001-2016 GM 6.6L Duramax. To overcome head gasket failures that can occur in diesel engines in these high performance applications, industry leader ARP has introduced extra heavy-duty head studs for the popular GM LB7, LLY, LBZ, LMM, LML Duramax powerplants. These ARP studs are rated at 220,000 psi tensile strength, and provide the clamping force required to keep cylinder heads from lifting due to higher combustion pressures. 

    The studs are manufactured in ARP's Santa Paula, CA plant from proprietary ARP 2000 material, with threads rolled after heat-treat to provide optimum fatigue strength. The stock CP4 is only capable of supporting up to ~500rwhp. A stock CP3 is capable of supporting 600+ rwhp in conjuction with the piezoelectric injectors. The CP4 was introduced as a cost reduction to the LML platform since a smaller amount of fuel is required when running the more efficient piezoelectric injectors. Since its introduction it has proven to be less reliable and less capable than the CP3 used in previous duramax platforms. CP3 pump not included.
